Marchelle and Tom

OK, let's be honest. We're all painfully aware today is tax day, and if like us, Uncle Sam loves you, then we could all use a nice diversion and what could be nicer than looking at pretty images of a beautiful bride and her groom and sharing in their special day. A big Mahalo! to our couple Marchelle and Tom for recently sending us these images. They may not have realized at the time that they would end up on our blog, but when we saw the images, including the ones of their wedding and groom's cakes which are far better than the ones we took, we decided that even though we have showcased their wedding cake and sculpted groom's standing guitar cake before, (see "She's a Little Bit Elegant, He's a Little Bit Rock-N-Roll") that it was definitely worth revisiting. Having the elegance of a Hollywood starlet, Marchelle, who lives in Baltimore was such a sweet, fun gal in person and we were thrilled to have met her! Though she noticed us in a magazine and on the internet prior to contacting us, we were also told that Duff and the Charm City Cakes crew gave us the thumbs up, so we'd like to send them a shout out for thinking of us!

The radiant bride!

The wedding colors were purple and red accented with Hawaiian florals.

Guitars and ukeleles were a prominent part of the wedding.
