The Dragon and Phoenix cake

We've had many brides inquiring about the red fondant Chinese dragon and phoenix wedding cake with lotus flowers on our website which was designed for Christina and Lee’s wedding at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. In addition to the piped dragon and phoenix motif on the cake, Rick painted Chinese characters representing prosperity and friendship. Handcrafted red lotus flowers and gold bamboo "sticks" adorned the cake. For the inside of their cake, Christina and Lee chose our Kona Toffee Crunch and Strawberries Chantilly flavors.

Veronica Trujillo of Parasol Events was hired to coordinate a day of perfection for Christina and Lee and their 300 guests. Their wedding colors were red, black, gold and white. The striking flower arrangements were designed by Su-V Expressions, and included romantic red roses, pink and white orchids, hydrangeas, Asiatic lilies and willow branches.

The ballroom was elegantly decorated in red, black and white. On the tables were black satin favor boxes, red napkins, and table cards with the dragon and phoenix motif. Photographer Dave Miyamoto was there to capture every moment of the couple's special day.
