The Pink and Silver Lining in Her Cloud
If you live here or were visiting Oahu last weekend, you know how dreary the weather has been. Saturday's rain was downright depressing, and enough to bring a happy bride who travelled all the way from Alaska down too. Lucky for our bride Kelli, she has a great friend named Kim looking out for her who also travelled a long way (Texas) for the wedding and purchased for her a beautiful light pink, silver and white wedding cake. Even if it wasn't in the cards for the two ladies to lie out on the beach and work on their tans this weekend, the Happy Cake Gods were smiling down on them and making sure Kelli's Big Day would be celebrated in style. Kim, who ordered Kelli's wedding cake, gave us the bride's colors and ask for a swirly design with a "V" monogram on top of it and the rest was up to Rick. She selected some yummy cake flavors -- our Chai Latte and Strawberries Chantilly, for this intimate wedding which took place at a property previously owned by John Travolta and Kelly Preston. Since we arrived at the property before the bride Kelli, we never had a chance to meet her, but both Kim and her mother loved the cake and knew the bride would too. Congratulations to the bride and groom! Kelli, we hope this beautiful cake was a ray of pink sunshine in your day.
Aloha, til next time ...
