Ivory and Gold Elegance

Last night officially started our Valentine's Day weekend. For this intimate and beautiful wedding reception, we drove out to the Niu Beach area, on the east side of the island to an estate that apparently was one of John Travolta's former homes. Our couple had a much larger wedding last weekend and this was a second reception more intimate in nature, for their family and close friends. We do many weddings that are much larger size, but I love the intimate gatherings as well, especially when thought has obviously been put into the decor. This ocean front property had an amazing view of Koko Head crater, not to be confused with the famous Diamond Head crater. The event coordinator, working with Todd from Always Flowers set up a beautiful scene of ivory and gold. For their cake, we went more on the whimsical side which they wanted, and added the couples intials to the top of the cake. They were overjoyed with the cake, and the mother of the bride practically squealed when she saw it. All in all, a great way to kick off the Valentine's Day weekend!

Aloha, til next time!
