Get Married Magazine

Several months ago we were approached by Get Married Magazine, the just released national companion magazine to the successful Get Married TV show. Get Married airs every weekday and is hosted by the stylish and internationally celebrated event designer Colin Cowie and the lovely DeAnna Pappas, who was previously on TV's Bachelorette. Having been familiar with the show, it was an easy "YES!" when they approached us requesting for our "Sunset Bamboo" cake to use in their first issue of the magazine. As with every magazine release, there is that waiting period of eager anticipation to see it in print and we had no idea what the magazine would look like but knew it was going to good. We didn't realize how good until we got our first sneak peek first at a mock-up of the cover a while back and earlier this week, at the magazine. The magazine boasts a beautiful cover photographed by Elizabeth Messina, and floral design by L.A.'s very own Mark Held, a celebrity florist who owns Mark's Garden and needs no introduction. Rick frequently worked on events with Mark's Garden when he was making cakes in L.A, and we always enjoy seeing his amazing work.

We've included 3 pages from the new Get Married magazine below. The first one shows our "Sunset Bamboo" cake as part of their "Seasons of Love" feature, and the spread below details how the cover shot was designed by Mark Held.

The first issue of Get Married magazine is exclusively available directly through the magazine's website at http://www.getmarried.com/magazine, or in some cases through select vendors. They are giving away the magazine Free to any bride who wants one for the first issue and the next issue to be released in January can be ordered through the site and will also be available in stores. Get Married has also made the entire magazine available for viewing on their website, which is fabulous! It's a chance to get a super pretty wedding planning resource for free. Who wouldn't like that!

Enjoy!

'Til next time, Aloha!
